About Us

One of the biggest questions I get is “where did the name ‘Panthro’ come from?” As a child, I wanted to have a physique like one of my favorite fictional superhero’s Panthro from the 1980’s cartoon Thundercats. I was always interested in fitness and weight lifting started out as a hobby. My hobby grew into more when I started helping others to build muscle and understand how to work out. I decided to get serious about personal training and got my certification through the American Council on Exercise in 2005.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1998. My Engineering background in conjunction with my Personal Training Certification has given me a unique skill set in identification of how forces act during exercise, how changing angles affect the forces applied by muscles, and understanding what minor changes such as foot position or thumb placement can be made to limit stress on joints and maximize muscle contractions.

I began personal training at Diamond Athletic and starting helping people lose weight. I was changing people’s lives and it has always been fulfilling knowing I made a difference in how someone looks, feels and perceives themselves. My greatest strengths are my ability to listen to clients, helping them develop goals, constructing a process or path to reach their goals and executing the plan.

I believe in not only building the body but ensuring my clients understand how to work out and eat healthy for the rest of their life not just while they train with me. I cannot ‘make’ anyone do anything relative to having the desire to be healthy, but I can give the knowledge to know how.

This is a unique profession that provides the opportunity to meet great people, make lasting friendships, take part in transforming people into what they never thought they could be and empowering people by teaching them how to successfully live healthy. There’s nothing like it and I enjoy what I do.
